Dealemma box art — a party game about betting on what everyone else will do

Dealemma

A game about reading the room—and betting on what everyone else will do.

Dealemma is a game about predicting people. Each round begins with an everyday situation, everyone secretly chooses what they'd do, and then the market opens. Bluff, bargain, and second-guess your friends before discovering which choices were actually worth making.

The Winthrop Cipher

A historian, a dead archivist's papers, and a cipher hidden in four centuries of Massachusetts correspondence. Ten gold coins are already in the ground, buried by someone who wanted them found—eventually. Everything else you need is already in the letters, if you know how to read them.

sylly

Sylly

Sylly is a word game about taking language apart and discovering what else it wants to become. Split and swap syllables, uncover surprising connections, and find words hiding in plain sight.

UnSaid

Unsaid

Unsaid is a game of recognition, where a hidden person, place, work, or event comes into focus one carefully chosen detail at a time. Guess as soon as you think you know what all the clues are pointing toward—the less that needs to be said, the better.

Minor Works is an independent studio based in Boston creating small experiences about big numbers, language, pattern, and play.

Outside the studio

Games and tools are what we make. These are a few other things we love and can't stop tinkering with.

The Thickening Plot's built-in potting bench with sink and tool wall
Chartreuse Hakone grass and a red Japanese maple along the front path
The garden path under snow, string lights lit at night
Over 200 plant tags laid out before being catalogued with AI

The Thickening Plot

A home garden in Jamaica Plain, Boston, that's slowly taken over every inch of usable space — 155+ plants, a custom potting station, and a City of Boston award for 3rd-best large garden. Same instincts as the studio: a lot of small, deliberate decisions, made over a long time.

Little Free Herbary

A community sharing movement, inspired by the Little Free Library — free herbs, freely shared, one shared garden box at a time. Plant one, take a sprig, or just say hi to a neighbor.
